NLCC Membership Assistance Program (MAP)

Though we keep our rates low, we know some are not able to afford professional counseling. This is where MAP steps in. The program allows local churches to contract with NLCC to provide counseling services for their members, attenders and those they choose to refer. Pastors and church members can refer people to us knowing we will see them immediately. Members and those who attend MAP churches arrive knowing they will not be turned away.

Who is MAP Qualified?

Members of MAP churches, those who attend MAP churches and those referred by MAP church members are automatically qualified. Churches presently enrolled include Traders Point Christian Church, Common Ground Christian Church, Circle City Church of Christ, and Countryside Christian Fellowship (Lebanon). Each of these churches has a pastor who oversees the MAP program and reviews MAP applications (see Client Information Form.)

Note: MAP financial assistance comes from church benevolence funds, so we urge clients to pay the full fee if they can. However, if they need help, MAP is there for them.

Cost

For MAP-qualified persons, The counseling fee is $80. Your church pays 100% for the first counseling session and up to 50% of the cost for additional sessions. Some MAP churches limit this to five total sessions. Ask your therapist for details. If you need additional help, contact your pastor or director of benevolence.

Does your church need a MAP?

The MAP is a practical, cost-effective way to strengthen the local church. Northern Light Christian Counseling provides professional Christ-centered counseling services, allowing pastors and volunteer leaders to do their work effectively. Those needing personal, marriage, family, premarital, or career counseling receive it immediately and affordably. And the MAP is easily tailored to meet the needs of each congregation.
